Boom Bot — Clearing and Info

Raze's Boom Bot is the most reliable clearing tool in Valorant. The robot follows a straight path, detects enemies in a 180-degree cone, and chases them with a loud alarm sound. It deals 50 damage on contact — enough to break shields and finish low-HP enemies.

On Ascent, send the Boom Bot through A main before your entry. The bot clears the corner near the box, the back of A site, and the cubby. If the bot doesn't explode, you know those angles are clear. This gives your team confidence to push without checking every corner manually.

The Boom Bot also works as a distraction. Send the bot through B main on Bind, then peek from the teleporter the moment the enemy shoots the bot. The sound of the bot covers your teleporter noise, and the enemy focused on the bot won't expect you from a different angle.

Use the Boom Bot to bait Operator shots. On Icebox, send the bot through B main while your team pushes mid. The OP player will either shoot the bot (revealing their position and wasting a bullet) or ignore it (taking 50 damage). Either outcome benefits your team.

Paint Shells — Grenade Lineups

Raze's Paint Shells throw three cluster grenades that explode on impact and send out 3 mini-nades each. Total damage potential is 300+ damage if all pellets hit. The bouncing mechanic makes it the most versatile grenade in Valorant for clearing corners and post-plant defense.

Double-bounce lineups are Raze's specialty. On Bind B site, stand at cubby and throw the grenade at the wall behind the spike. The first bounce hits the wall, the second bounce lands the grenade on default plant. The cluster then scatters across the entire plant area, making defusal impossible.

On Split B site, bounce the grenade off the back wall of site. The grenade lands exactly at default plant and the cluster spreads across the entire bombsite. Any defuser takes at least 2–3 mini-nades (50–75 damage) and must stop defusing.

Combining Paint Shells with a satchel creates an unpredictable grenade trajectory. Throw the grenade toward the enemy position, then satchel jump — the grenade's arc changes mid-flight and enemies expecting the standard trajectory will be caught off guard.

Blast Pack Movement Mechanics

Raze satchel movement isn't just for style — it breaks crosshair placement. Defenders hold head-height. A Raze flying at 3x movement speed above head level is impossible for most players to track. Mastering satchel jumps is the single most important skill for Raze players.

The double satchel jump sends Raze across the entire Ascent A site in under 2 seconds. Place first satchel on the ground at A main, jump as it detonates, then throw and detonate the second satchel mid-air. The momentum carries you from A main to the back of A site in one smooth movement.

On Bind, use a single satchel to cross from cubby to the back of B site instantly. The enemy watching the main entrance will never expect you to fly across the site from cubby. This entry path lets you catch defenders off guard and secure the first kill.

Satchel physics require practice. The satchel pushes Raze in the direction opposite to where she's facing when it detonates. To go forward, face backward and detonate. To go straight up, look down and detonate. Practice in the Range for 15 minutes and you'll have the basic mechanics down.

Entry Fragging and Map-Specific Pathing

Raze's entry pathing differs on every map. On Ascent, the fastest entry is A main with a double satchel to heaven. Clear the left corner with a Boom Bot, satchel jump to heaven, and clear heaven from above. The height advantage gives you a massive peeker's advantage.

On Icebox A site, satchel to the top of the belt (the green container). From this height, you can see the entire A site, the back of site, and the pipe. The enemy holding A main angle won't expect you to be 3 meters above head height. Pick one from this position before dropping down.

On Fracture, use the drop-down mechanic. Place a satchel at the edge of the drop, jump and detonate to gain extra momentum downward. This lets you entry at full speed even on maps with verticality. The landing timing takes practice, but the speed advantage is worth it.

Always save one satchel for post-plant escape. After getting the kill and planting, you need to reposition. The escape satchel can carry you from site to a safe retake position instantly, denying the enemy team an easy trade kill.

Raze satchel movement isn't just for style — it breaks crosshair placement. Defenders hold head-height. A Raze flying at 3x movement speed above head level is impossible for most players to track.

Paint Shells Area Denial

Raze's Paint Shells grenade bounces twice before exploding, making it ideal for clearing corners and forcing defenders out of position. On Ascent B site, bounce the grenade off the entrance wall toward the default plant position. The bouncing path means defenders can't predict where the explosion lands. For more strategies, see the Valorant Wikipedia page and Raze page on Valorant Wiki.

On Split B site, bounce Paint Shells off the Tower wall toward the back of site. The double bounce clears both the left cubby and the default plant area, making it impossible for a defender to hide. Use this grenade before entry to soften site defense.
